Issue: I just installed the software via FileZilla to my web space on iPage. Started working on customizing things and realized I can't see my webpage and get this error: "500 Internal Server Error: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log."

I've looked at my config.php and settings appear correct. I know I'm missing something obvious and would appreciate the help in finding and fixing it.

Ok, where this internal server error log? why did you not post it here. If you can't access it, ask your server administrator for this logs.

I would suggest 2 things:

1) Look at your .htaccess (may still be named .htaccess.txt) file and check where it says RewriteBase / to make sure it says RewriteBase /opencart

2) Contact your hosting company to see what their server logs say.
