In 3.0.2 version does not exist FTP tab. But in this version seems it is not necessary, because files you can uploud without ftp.

Custom OpenCart modules and solutions. You can write PM with additional questions... Extensions you can find here

https://github.com/opencart/opencart/bl ... /en-gb.php

Still lists FTP with:

Code: Select all

$_['tab_ftp'] = 'FTP';
A clue, I guess.

FTP setting when the Opencart upgrade to 3.X,
therefore as kestas said, you should able to upload extension file with ftp setting.
If there is still any issue regarding ftp in 3.X, please provide some screenshot for understanding,
I will take a look after I finish my job.:)

As per my post demonstrate, the tab_ftp definition is still in v3.x releases which means, normally, the FTP tab should appear from your default store.

Ensure your system/storage folder is outside your public_html folder. Then, assign writable permissions recursively to this folder and adjust the path accordingly from your config.php and admin/config.php files. Ensure to put your site under maintenance before applying these steps as well as logging out from your admin account. Then, clear all caches from your Opencart admin when you log back in. This should rectify the issue when uploading new OCMod extensions from the FTP.

No problem. Also ensure your .htaccess file no longer contains the system/ folder instances in front of storage as well.

I'm using opencart 3.0.3.1
and there is no FTP tab in Admin - Settings area.

Are you saying this is caused because I don't have my storage folder in the right place?

Do I just have to move storage folder outside the public_html, then update the config files, and the FTP tab will appear?

There are no ftp settings nor an ftp tab in V3.

There is a tab_ftp reference in the language files but that is as far as it goes.
