Hey guys I am getting this error in the configuration step of opencart installation. I know that my database details are correct because entering wrong details gives another error message so I am confused with whats wrong. Here is the error which comes up in a white page after clicking Next on the configuration step of installation:

Code: Select all

Warning: fopen(/storage/ssd3/133/3291133/public_html/vestige-dlcp/config.php): failed to open stream: Is a directory in /storage/ssd3/133/3291133/public_html/vestige-dlcp/install/controller/install/step_3.php on line 44Warning: fwrite() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /storage/ssd3/133/3291133/public_html/vestige-dlcp/install/controller/install/step_3.php on line 46Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /storage/ssd3/133/3291133/public_html/vestige-dlcp/install/controller/install/step_3.php on line 48Warning: fopen(/storage/ssd3/133/3291133/public_html/vestige-dlcp/admin/config.php): failed to open stream: Is a directory in /storage/ssd3/133/3291133/public_html/vestige-dlcp/install/controller/install/step_3.php on line 87Warning: fwrite() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /storage/ssd3/133/3291133/public_html/vestige-dlcp/install/controller/install/step_3.php on line 89Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /storage/ssd3/133/3291133/public_html/vestige-dlcp/install/controller/install/step_3.php on line 91Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /storage/ssd3/133/3291133/public_html/vestige-dlcp/system/framework.php:42) in /storage/ssd3/133/3291133/public_html/vestige-dlcp/system/library/response.php on line 36
Help would be very much appreciated.

For some reason my config.php is a folder, not a php file. It was a file from the very start for some ugly reason. Is it actually a folder at start or did something go wrong when i extracted it?

Ok i found out the problem. Both of my config.php were folders instead of php files so i deleted them and replaced them with config.php from the zip and now the installation works. Thanks :D

Did you extract it separately from other files and folders, or just as part of the entire package? If separately, many extraction utilities will create a folder first, often of the same name as the file, and then put the file inside the folder. You just have to keep an eye out for such things. Otherwise, if it was a file at the start, I can't imagine anything that would normally change it into a folder, unless you messed up a file-manipulation command and accidentally created a folder.
