Testing Import/Export Modules

Migrating from 1.5x to 3.x soon, and began testing some of the import/export tools available. Of the ones tested, they all seem quite complex compared to the basic import/export module we have on 1.5x (JNeuhoff). You must select various criteria for one download to add a category or product, then repeat with other criteria for adding options to that new product/category, and so on.

With the current tool on 1.5x, one download grabs a full tabbed excel spreadsheet with every option (products, categories, options, images, etc). With the 3.x modules we've tested, to add a product you have to download a different spreadsheet, add the product, then download another spreadsheet to add options to that item (colors, for example), etc. On the earlier version, a product can be added or options added to existing product in a minute or two.

Anyone aware of a module/tool that functions like the earlier ones with one quick download for all the info needed?

I did. Three times. For the original extension. No reply. So we started testing other modules. Hoping to hear back from anyone who has resolved this to work the way the original did (easier).

It would then be best to create a new service request in the Commercial Support section of the forum to get this done as a custom job.
