I had a robot attaching my site. I tried the anti-fraud extension that comes with OC but that stopped all orders from being processed. It may be a conflict with some other extensions but rather than checking I tried adding the deny instruction to the htaccess file. This works and the site functions properly.
Deny from <IP Address>
So far so good

That will work until the next one, or until they use another IP.

A better solution would be something like this: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=36312

Thanks Paul, I wasn't getting spam, it was just crawling through my site and looked like hacking attempts.

Cloudflare
Not a good idea, tends to slow things down, despite it claims of being a CDN.

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig
