My site loads ok but google pagespeed still says it is pretty slow. There is 1.6 seconds of jquery so doing a quick search I found a post on here saying to try
to 'implement' some of the Javascripts into the jquery-2.1.1.min.js
file, and then, link/call this file by/with Javascript code, like:

Code: Select all

<script type="text/javascript"><?php $jq = file_get_contents(""); echo $jq;?></script>
(Cookie-free Subdomain linking, the Site is configured/called as http:// www. yoursite. com! )

That looks interesting but is it valid way to increase the page load speed and still retain the jquery functionality?

Thanks all and for the USA members have a great 4th!

I use such in my Merkent-Theme based Installations, I just forgot, what I put in there in detail. :crazy: :laugh:
I use the 'common.js' comined with other 'xx.js' code, in the very Bottom Section, and the more 'important xx.js' like the 'jquery-x.x.x.min.js' Code in the header Section.
It took a while, to make it work, but it has some positive 'overall' effect on Pagetesters. The 'SCRIPT' stuff is NOT really favoured by the Google Test Engine, but who cares? :laugh:

Code: Select all

<script>if(!window.jQuery){document.write('<script src="http://xxx/catalog/view/theme/default/js/headcompress.js"><\/script>');}</script>
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() {$.getScript("http://xx/catalog/view/theme/default/js/compressed.js");});</script>
