I'm planning to create two distinct regions in my store (United States and Europe), and to provide different price tags for each one of them. I've already managed to set up different rates for the two currencies, and I'm thinking of using the currencies as a switcher between the regions. For example, when one selects the EU region in the dropdown menu, it is in fact the currency that gets changed to EUR, and so on.

The question here is, how do I display this alteration in the URL? I would want it to be something like this: https://eu.mystore.com, or when you select USD, you will get automatically redirected to https://us.mystore.com.

Alternatively, this could be https://mystore.com/eu & https://mystore.com/us respectively, in case the first option is not possible.
What can be the solution here?

If you want sub-domains, you'd probably need to set up 2 stores in OpenCart, and then link one of them to the US store and one to the EU store. That way you can set the default currency and such for each store.

If you prefer not to do that (since managing 2 stores can be an extra hassle if all the other data is the same) then there are some mods that append a portion to the URL like you've described. I don't know of one off-hand, but you should be able to find them in the opencart.com marketplace. If not, hopefully someone can post a link to one that does what you're looking for.
