Does anyone know, how does customer online works? because the customer online counter isn't matching with Google Analytics real time "Active Users right now" count. The count shows as follows in customer online 103 (the count goes up and down) but in the Google Analytics real time shows 1-2 users online.
Note: Earlier, Customer online didn't work so I change the REMOTE_ADDR -> HTTP_X_REAL_IP in the catalog/controller/common/footer.php as suggested by viewtopic.php?t=145307 (OpenTeam) .
The customers online doesn't work like google anaytics, it will count every unique ip access and that user is assumed "online" for about one hour.
OpenCart does not filter out bots etc either, so your count will include all bots accessing your site and also anyone accessing/pulling data from your site without executing javascript (or those with anaytics blocked!).
