Today, I tried to install a new extension via the admin "Extension Installer" page, and was greeted with the following error message. Can anyone help to point me to a fix?
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'else' (T_ELSE) in /homepages/23/d415928027/htdocs/AdMinOC/ocnew/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-system_storage_modification_admin_controller_extension_installer.php on line 218
Nothing else seems to be broken, I just can reach the extension installer page.
Well, better consult some literature on VqMod and OcMod first, before
trying to install a VqMod Extension by use of an OC OcMod Installer.
Still, this might also depend on the VqMod Version used, I am not familiar,
if latest VqMod 2.6.? eventually also allows VqMods to be installed by the
default OcMod Installer Routine, just to have this mentioned too...

Yeah, I 'm not sure what's going on. The extension that I need to install, is a OCMod extension, but I can't reach the installer page. It's not a big deal, I can install it manually, I'm just trying to figure out why I'm getting this message when accessing the installer page.
Well, it is related to a VqMod Function, otherwise, the error message
would not come from the VqMod Section. The OcMod you tried to install,
probably collided with something, done by a VqMod Function, I assume.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the response, just to clarify. I cannot reach the Extension Installer" page at all. After I click the link in the admin menu, I get the following error message, instead of the installer page:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'else' (T_ELSE) in /homepages/23/d415928027/htdocs/AdMinOC/ocnew/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-system_storage_modification_admin_controller_extension_installer.php on line 218
I'm guessing that it is another extension that is causing the problem. I've tried disabling all of the VQMod extensions, but the problem still persists. I guess next, I will try disabling each of the OCMod extensions.
I also tried clearing the VQ cache, but that did not help.

Ok, so I figured out the problem with my Extension Installer page. A few weeks ago, I installed a free extension which allows you to bypass the FTP requirements when installing extensions.
Ocmod FTP Bypass Installer IRSSOFT
That extension must not be compatible with my Opencart installation. Once it was disabled, my extension page started working again, as normal.
Thanks to those who responded.
