Hello everybody,

i need your help for something...

i need some kind a extra fields on checkout to separate business clients and personal clients..

for example if client select "personal" nothing will be happen but if he select "bussines" i will just require a little bit more information from him like tax id of his company etc...
do you know how can i add more fields or is there any addon to doı this ?

This fields you can add in admin customer section. Add customer group what you need and than you can add custom fields and assign this fields for this customer group.

Go to Customers -> Custom Fields and define desired fields for Business group.

In the future, please, avoid using subjects like "I need help, please look" or similar. Give more distinctive titles.

First of all thank you so much to everybody for answers..

But i think i could not explain myself correctly...

let me put a example to show you what i mean

please go to this website --> add a product to checkout --> go to checkout page
and on the page where you typing your personal and shipping information there is a section with 2 checkboxes

Account type : Personal Account / Business Account
if you click to business account ,appearing new fields for more information ...i want to do excatly same thing :))

BTW: there is no custom fields option under the Sales->Customers section on me :(

That information is only for the client information ;)

Clients > Clients > edit

Which OC version are you using?

As for the additional information duplicated for personal use during checkout, the payment processing gateway must also be aware of those additional fields when filling the billing and shipping information since the customer may decide to create separated information from his billing entries compared to the customer's account entries already. When a guest creates a checkout order, the additional fields won't really have any values to the provider either since there is no official way from Opencart's core files to automatically validate the address information unless using an extension or if the payment provider, from the store the merchant would be related to systematically, would actually allow to merchants to capture these addresses and additional fields information during the transaction.

Additional fields within checkout should be used for financial statement such as SalesForce and other related platforms in order to collect information.

Yes we are checking all the business informations from clients on the national sources so everything is being legit!

actually i think there might be a quick solution for this what i want...

becouse thats only 2 additional checkboxes and a couple extra fields on the checkout tabs...

but could not find a extension or way to do it for some reason :(

actually thats what i want... client does not need to see them on the orders

If you want that information apear on the orders as well is possible,
but you need to make same code changes in OC

becouse at the begining i thought im with 2xx becouse i thought i was updated it, but after that i have chexked and saw its still 1.5xx...

but i dont think thats really matter that much becose if there is a solution with coding i think it will work alson on 1.5 or if there is a addon , most of addons have support for multiple OC versions so ...
