Hi,

Using OpenCart 2.1.0.1 and the latest OpenCart version of VQMod - as soon as I install VQMod I get a 500 Server error shown and cannot access the main website or admin.

The only way to regain access is to delete or rename the vqmod_opencart.xml file.

I had installed an extension (SuperCoupons from GetClearThinking) before installing VQMod and am unsure if this may be the cause of the problem - it did/does need VQMod to work. I have tried re-installing the extension both manually and from admin (admin with VQMod file renamed) to no avail.

I've used VQMod on a few other OC websites before on the same hosting server with no issues so I'm a little confused.

I can see one possibly relevant error in the OC log file:

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ';' in /home/a00000cc/public_html/ips/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-system_storage_modification_system_engine_action.php on line 39

The line reads:

include_once(\VQMod::modCheck(modification(modification($this->file), modification($this->file)));

It looks to me like there is a bracket missing, though adding this in does not fix the error.

Can anyone possibly advise where I can check next? I've been through dozens of similar forum posts and checked permissions etc. and can't find anything that sorts this out for me.

Many thanks,

Chris

Thanks for that, at least I know the brackets are fine :)

There is no vqmod log being generated at all, and the OC error log contains a dozen or so lines relating to the above error:

Strange one that.

You have refreshed your modifications in admin ?

Do you have any ocmods installed ?

Yes, I have a couple of OCMods running, all from the OC theme.

I don’t know what 'the oc theme' is

Try disabling those ocmods and refreshing after each one to see if the problem/error goes away
