reciprocal related link issue

Folks,

I know this issue was tackled in 1.5, but I'm looking for a quick fix for the two-way related product issue in 2.3.0.2.

As you know, open cart uses reciprocal related product links, instead of a one-way system. So if you had a product A linked to product B, then it would automatically be linked back from product B to product A. I would prefer to have this removed.

Any ideas?

Why would you want this removed?
Surely if two products are related then its best if a customer looks at either then it will show the other as related....better chance of sales that way
Unless you have a specific reason for not wanting them related back

Just asking btw

Say I have 20 styles of shoes and each one has a shoe tree as a related product. If I view the product page for the shoes, it will show the shoe tree as a related product. if I go to the shoe tree product page, why would I want it to show 20 styles of shoes as a related product? I wouldn't.
