Hello
I was wondering why the user does not receive an invoice for their purchase by default?
The user only receives a order confirmation.
And everytime i get an order i have to go in to the order, generate an invoice number, print and save the invoice and then manually send them the email with the invoice in an attachement. I think this seems rather unnecessary.
Is there a way to automate this process?
My shop is: http://ff.dk

Hi!
You have this extension (not free) http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... %20invoice
The user can download the invoice by his own... You just configure when you want it to be generated and available to the customer, for example...when the PO is done or when you define that it has been processed...
I don't know it another extension also sends by email the invoices...
Regards!

The reason why this is happening is depending of the order status being set from the store and also from the payment gateway. A payment provider cannot always provide an instant order confirmation status or the other way around, if the merchant is not around to verify that order status, the order may not be as easily completed in short-notice which is why the best option on that end was to let the merchant update the order status manually.reprohuset wrote:Hello

I agree, it's good to have an invoice for every order. That way there are no missing orders, just unpaid invoices.
Most billing systems work this way, like WHMCS.
Reprohuset, I've seen many extensions that create a pdf invoice and mail it as well.
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... %20invoice
I had to (since I want to use OC) write a specific solution to cater to a couple of my clients and my own business as well.
Take a look at my signature: Invoice Terminal
It creates an invoice for every order and mails the pdf to both parties, initially marked as unpaid and to be paid within a set timeframe. Also supports partial payments and automatic new invoices for recurring payments.
Probably overkill for your stuation
