Hi,

My webshop have work fine in over a year an today this message came and i haven't done anything to the mysqli...

What should I do?!?!


Fatal error: Class 'mysqli' not found in /home/hangonpu/public_html/shop/system/library/db/mysqli.php on line 7

check with your hosting if your database is not down
check if your opencart database still exist

I know this post is probably overdue but I want to post the solution I did here, probably it could help someone.

I believe the error is associated with the webserver and not oc. Follow this steps:
1. Ensure your db user have all necessary privilege
2. Ensure mysql is running. You can start it with service mysql start
3. Install the following extensions for php
* curl
* zip
* xml
* mbstrings
* mcrypt
* zlib
4. Reload apache with service apache2 reload

Then, you should be good to go.

Not only, after 3 years answering and posting a solution which might be possible for 1% of the users is not really helpful.
Beside this, if MySQLi is not available, it seems to be an very outdated server and php-version!

mysqli PHP module may simply be not enabled.
