I didn't know it was possible at all, to move a directory from a file window into the image manager. But it was a large directory, full of large images, and now the frontend hangs. In the backend I can come in, but it goes very very slow, but I see nothing strange there. Is there a way to stop this? I guess the account is still trying to do something. I removed the uploaded directory (there was nothing in it) from within my DirectAdmin panel, but it still is busy or hangs. The client is using Journal 2 theme, no VQmod installed.
Any help to reset?
The database seemed to be the problem. I reinstalled a backup of the database from 2 days ago and the site is running again.
On my PC, I cannot drag-and-drop in Chrome. On a Mac, this seems to be possible. Can we disable image dragging (or at least directory dragging) into the image manager?
The database hangs even with some single images. The filenames seems to be okay. I must isloate the problem. Maybe it is the Mac filesystem or something which is adding some stuff to the image manager, I don't know yet...
But I have isolated the problem. It only happens with the Macbook Air. Firefox, Safari or Chrome, it doesn't matter. The system hangs when you insert something, a category or an image. With the PC laptop, all is fine. It looks like the input fields where you have to type someting, are not compatible with the Mac and causes the system to crash / keeping busy. Strange nobody has experienced that.
I found an Apple topic regarding this issue, perhaps this may help you fix the problem:
This is not an issue with OC itself.
