Add Category count for each main category to nav bar

I'm new to opencart.. Please help me in the following..

Actually I want to add category count for each main category in the navbar..

I've no children for any category and I want to add count for each category.. so that I can show how much product is available in each category..

It is showing in category page.. but How can I show it to homepage..

Please help.
