Still no native support for Category on sale?

I used OpenCart several years ago, but the deal breaker was there was no way to have a category wide sale.
Like: Everything in the purse category @ 25% off for the month of Feb.
So I am now back to see if this has been implemented. No, still no way to put a complete category on sale, (at least no way I could see from the admin demo).

Is there a free vQmod that does what I am asking for? I tried searching extensively, to no avail.

For 1.5.x, it isn't free but I use it because it isn't anything special BUT it is simple and works. (and only $10).

What extension/module is that for $10? Do you have a link?

Shoot I thought I put it in that post - I've edited the post above to include it.

BTW, I have no play in that extension except I use it.
