Converting From Zencart

Hello,

fairly new to opencart, but so far seams very workable and a pretty decent cart to work with.... One issue I am having is trying to convert my product DB from the zencart to open cart.

I basically exported all my categories and products into excel and matched them up in a open cart table. Then uploaded to the database.

In the admin area all the products are there, etc but on the store side, the site is VERY SLOW, to the point were it actually will crash the server.

We currently have 8k products with MANY, MANY sub categories...... Has anyone had an issue like this ?, If so what was the resolution ??

Did you visit cart2cartwebsite? They offer migration services. Seems to me it is something you are looking for.
