1.3.1&2 install errors

Hi,

trying to install 1.3.1 and now 1.3.2 I'm getting this error:

Warning: require_once(/public_html/opencartstore/system/startup.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /public_html/opencartstore/install/index.php on line 16

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/public_html/opencartstore/system/startup.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /public_html/opencartstore/install/index.php on line 16

I set all permissions via instructions to 755, then to 777, neither worked. I get the same error on my local test box: ubuntu, php 5.x, mysql... and on my server hosted at pair: php 5.x, mysql...

any help greatly appreciated.

can u pm me your ftp details and db details?

Although it was a minor bug. It was because you had registered globals running.

I don't understand how someone who can setup a server would leave this setting on?

Also the error.txt in the logs did not have the correct file permissions. I have removed the file so the system can create a new one with the correct permissions.

Daniel many host have global on for old script compatibility

this was his sever.

ifixed the problem anyway. I just not did not test what happened with globals on.
