Hi all,

I am trying to create a local copy of my live site so that I can testbed the upgrade from 1.4.7 to 1.5.x

However I am finding that when I try to import the SQL backup from the live site to the local copy of the site using my PHPADMIN, that the import does not complete because a table (homepage) is missing from the local copy.

Is there a way to set the import so that it automatically creates any tables it needs to fill with data?

Thanks!

If you have a non-standard table layout you should be exporting/importing directly out of phpmyadmin.

I am doing this. I have tried .csv and .sql format but with no luck.

To clarify, I have:

1) installed my version of OC locally (1.4.7) and it works fine.
2) Cleared the DB of all content.
3) Using myphpadmin to import the backup of my online DB, but there is a table mismatch, so the import fails.

This is not totally surprising because my online copy of OC has gone through lots of upgrades and tweaks and whatever for years. This is why ideally I'd like to start from fresh again, but my first step is to get a copy running locally so I can work with it in safety.

Any help is much appreciated.

Andrew.

If the backup of your db is made by phpMyAdmin the import should work.

What is the exact error you are getting?

Check the export file and make sure you didn't miss the table.
