Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /test5/insta

Version: OpenCart v1.4.9.4
Install type: Clean Install

I ran into a problem during installation after following the install instructions to the letter. The message i get after a few steps into the installation are:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /test5/install/index.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Like I said, i have followed the install instructions to the letter, CHMOD'ing the following folders & files with 0777;

chmod 0755 or 0777 image/
chmod 0755 or 0777 image/cache/
chmod 0755 or 0777 image/data/
chmod 0755 or 0777 system/cache/
chmod 0755 or 0777 system/logs/
chmod 0755 or 0777 download/
chmod 0755 or 0777 config.php
chmod 0755 or 0777 admin/config.php

If I'm missing something, I would appreciate if anyone could help me out and point me in the right direction.

Check the permissions on the install directory.

Could be that your server is setting your permissions as lock down rather than 755/777
Another possibility could be that you don't own the files (chown vs chmod) which again is a hosting issue.

Stange that you got that error ...

Just for fun, is there a ending return (new line) in the file or another file type issue like windows/unix line returns, also you might want to check the file type -- I was having grief with utf8-bom vs no-bom issues on multiple files.

I encounter the exact same problem. Can you please tell me how you solved it? Or can someone else please help me with this?

I have tried setting full permission for all file and folders as well as 755 and 775 but with no success.

When I click continue on step 3 of the opencart instalation I get the message:
