I had my site moved from a temporary location to a permanent public one. Everything has been working perfect until!, I go to upload images to the site for products (and any other image for that matter). All of the images that I have added to the directory do not show up... The filenames are there, but the image is blank. The image files are good; I checked with Gimp; even saved a new version and no success. If I click on the file name, it replaces the images with nothing & then does not allow me to change it further.
Anyone had that problem before? Know where to look to solve?

Try going to System -> Settings, choose the Server tab and set Display Errors to Off. This is a new one I discovered yesterday. If error display is on then your ajax requests from the filemanager come back with errors and json, meaning broken json and broken filemanager.

Nope, not that either. I only have the problem on newly uploaded files. All of the files have the same permissions; i checked.

I successfully installed OpenCart only to find a host of broken images across my site. The suggestion above (to set image folder permissions to 777) resolved the problem instantly.

Thanks!
