Sorry if this is a daft question. But is moving the site from a Plesk control panel to Cpanel, is it as straight forward as moving from Plesk to Plesk or Cpanel to Cpanel? I have tried importing the sql file into cpanel from Plesk and it keeps on failing.

Thanks in advance

cpanel and plesk are Server Admin Tools only, they access the system 'visually' in different ways, but this has no influence on a DB, it's just beeing 'handled' in different ways. It's comparable to handling WIndows DATA by either an old WIN 2000, or a WIN10. But other than that, the DB still stay's the same, there is nothing to transfer...

What is the size of the sql file? If it's too large, you'll need to have root access or contact your host to import it.
