Google Base extension writing no products to the xml file

Hi,

I'm using Opencart 2.1.0.1 and cannot get the inbuilt Google Base extension to write products to the google_base.xml file; the headers are there but no products. I believe all the catergories are setup correctly. Can someone please assist.
