PayPal Commerce Platform - Multiple Orders/Payments

Opencart 2.3.0.2.
PayPal Commerce Platform.

In the last few weeks we have experienced numerous customers making multiple payments for their orders when paying using their debit/credit card using PayPal Commerce Platform.

Having done a test order this morning what I think is happening is that they enter their card details, click the Pay With Card button and there's a short 2/3 second delay while PayPal silently processes their payment. The user thinks they haven't clicked the button properly so clicked it multiple times and repeat payments are made.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there an easy way to show a payment processing animation or any way of speeding things up so reduce this delay?

Is this a known bug fixed by this patch do you know?

Try it out, you'll know.

I've uninstalled the previous verison of the extension, installed the new one and am trying to reconnect it using the PayPal Connect button but unfortunately keep getting stuc in a constant loop.

I login to our PayPal account and click connect and the connect wizard suggests everything is connected up before returning me back here:

Check your PayPal error logs, OC error logs and your Developers Kit > Console / Network tab when hitting the button from the extension.

Also check your OCMod logs. It seem that on the Marketplace page of that extension, somebody else reported the same issue but the OCMod entries have not been posted.
