Hi All. Does anyone know of an Android phone and/or Android tablet app that sales reps can use to place orders for clients when they visit their premises. The app would need to store any order attempts if there is no internet connection and place the order once there is. I'm guesssing the app would have to store sessions locally in some way. This would be for OC 2.3.0.2 although if it also worked on 1.5.6.4 that would be ideal.

I have a client asking who operates in a patchy coverage aera. I've seen apps in the marketplace but none that store orders and process them later.

All suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

A 'POS' extension might deal with it in a relatively easy way. Not sure if there is one that goees back to 1.5.x though.

I have a few Clients operating POS system.
The moment this system has no internet connection, some of the checks are not possible.
But all data is stored and what can be checked (e.g. existing customers, products, etc.) are working normal.
After you have a live (internet) connection again, the data will be synchronized.

Think about some countries do not have a internet (connection) in some districts - sometimes or all the time (yes this happens, also in 2021!).
You are a seller who is visiting your customers by car/van and sell then something.
Business is possible, synchronizing the data when the live system is reachable again.

Data can be Sync but when using debit/credit card it is required OTP which will expire in 3-5 minutes.

So in the above scene if system get connected after an hour or so the payment won't be captured and no order.

Well, surprise!
Some people tend to pay in Cash.
And some people do not have any card, or do not want them.
The world does not exist only of cards ..

I should have said. This is for B2B. My client is a wholesaler and has reps that visit clients premises and sell to them on acount. Live card payments are not an issue.
