Rewards Points for Affiliates

Would there be a way to configure the affiliate rewards system such that a sale from an affiliate results in rewards points and not cash?

In OC v3.0.2.0 releases, Affiliates have been migrated into customers. In the latest release version, affiliates do still work as part on being customers based on the database's perspective but are handled on separate database tables. Which means, theorically, customers can still become affiliates as the rewards would still be provided to those assets.

As to return the rewards into points rather than monetary values, this can be edited in your catalog/model/extension/total/reward.php file or by creating a new order total module. Extensions could also be found on the Marketplace about this.
