Hi,
I opened a merchant account with Bandigo Bank, which uses MiGS payment gateways.
I'm looking for extension to integrate it with opencart 2.0

Come across those two:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... %20gateway

http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... %20gateway

Does anyone tried those extension and can explain how to use it and what is the the different between the two?

Hope somebody can help,

Thank you

Hi

These are both my mods, and the difference is the method.

Server hosted (aka 3-party) means it works like payment. During checkout, the customer is redirected to the migs gateway for secure payment, then returned back to your store with the success (or failure) and the order gets completed. This is good for stores that do not have their own SSL certificate because it lets you keep customer data secure and you remove any liability to the data.

Merchant Hosted (aka 2-party) means it puts the credit card form directly onsite during checkout. The customer never leaves your store and all transactions happen in the background. It looks a little more professional, however, this requires you to have your own SSL certificate and potentially pass a PCI compliance test from a 3rd party PCI testing company. It all depends on your bank's requirements.

Hi Qphoria,

Just been speaking with The Commonwealth Bank of Australia, (CBA) as I have a current old cart connected to the MIGS "server based", and they recommended your below module for my new cart:

http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... %20gateway

Just a couple of simple questions.
Is it suitable for all variants of Opencart V2. ?
If I run into problems, will you be able to offer free assistance to guide me through?

The CBA also would prefer a server based extension, as the merchant has no access to the customers CC details, and of course can't be held responsible if things go badly wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers Don...

Hi Don,

Yes that is the version you need and yes it supports any current 2.x variant at the time of writing.
I am always available for support but that extension is pretty solid for the other people already using it so I don't foresee any issues.

Cheers

Hi Q,

just taking baby steps to build my cart at the moment, but I'll get back to you when I am ready to go ahead.
Thanks for the information.
