Are there any 2.2.0.0 free themes that actually work?

I've tried Simplica, Themeglobal Lite and neither seem to work at all after multiple attempts and installing on a "clean working" system.

Just be aware, that most of the Themes, offered by Companies, as you mentioned, not only add some THEME Sub and Files, but also either CONSIST out of a complete, modified OC-Installation, or then, at least change partly a lot of existing OC Default Files, troughout the OC Default System. One main reason for me, to not even touch such Stuff ever.

I would therefore ONLY upload Themes, consisting out of catalog/view/theme/NEWTHEME/... - Sub, and possibly some files, to be placed into the default /LANGUAGE/..., and/or catalog/view/javascript/... Subdirectory. BUT ONLY, after one has made sure, that those Scripts do NOT overwrite existing default Scripting Software.

But then, there is mostly an Admin Section involved as well, then, make sure, the uploaded Files will not overwrite existing Files as well. But if some yourshop/system/... Files also exist, it gets a little more complicated, you first have to find out, what's different, and/or save/rename the default file, on the server, to make sure, it still exists, if you have to remove not longer valid CustomTheme -Loaded Files.

On the other Side, just better not expext anything, for free, to just work, in full. Especially, when it comes to other Custom Extensions, not foreseen by the Custom Theme, to be included. it's like Custom building a Car, where not every Custom part just matches a customized Section any longer.
