I am attempting to install 2.1.0.2 on a sub-directory of my main domain, with a view to replace my current live 2.0.3.1 shop after testing.
I'm currently stuck at Step 1/4. Clicking continue just reloads the same page: . . ./oc2102/install.

A file or files were not properly uploaded and make sure you have .htaccess.txt changed to .htaccess and update RewriteBase / to RewriteBase /subfolder-name/

Not that I'm aware of and personally, I don't use any of the files from an old version and mix them with a new versions files. I create a sub folder, upload the new set of files (why aren't you using 2.2?) and create a new database with a copy of your 2.0.3.1 database.ASP wrote:Thank you. Is there a reliable resource detailing the next steps involved to populate the subfolder OC with my current OC content, then move this to the root to replace the 2.0.3.1 shop with 2.1.0.2?

Have read through all of the negative forum responses to 2.2, but will try this in a sub folder and test.EvolveWebHosting wrote:ASP wrote: Not that I'm aware of and personally, I don't use any of the files from an old version and mix them with a new versions files. Will my 2.0.3.1 database be compatible with the 2.2 install, and can I export my edit of the default 2.0.3.1 theme to ensure all of my custom css and settings are applied to the new version?
