after carefully testing, they cannot work well together if they both need to change the same file like header.tpl.
vqmod will not work.

That is why you should only use 1 of the 2.

What if you are using OC 2.0.3 and have some extensions only available in vqmod and others only available in ocmod ?

vQmod and ocMod work fine together, but if modifications change the same file, it's possible there will be conflicts. This is no different than having two vQmods or two ocMods that modify the same file.

Thanks Jonathan!

Is there a way to check if there are other mods changing the same file before installing an extension?

You'd have to look at the .xml files themselves, and see which files they are modifying. Usually two mods editing the same file is not an issue, unless they're editing the same area of code. So if you're having issues, you may want to try disabling one or the other to see if that fixes the problem.

If so, they're probably conflicting, and you'll need to either debug it yourself, or hire someone to take a look at how to get them working together.
