How do we edit the Front Page?

I've already looked at the index.php and didn't find any files it was pointing towards.

well, realy not not asking for a suggestion...  so why posted in this area.. beyond me should be moved  to a more correct area like LANGUAGE help...

and there is that nifty feature...  i know its realy new here ... but ---Search  at the very top... 

works like google...  enter in a few key words and presto  links to relative post..
