Template/CSS Overrides [VQMOD REQUIRED]

This is now available from here along with full description and information

Override id specific pages without having to hack up the controller/template files, making them easier to maintain. You can also auto-include css files on a per-id basis, making it possible to change a specific category look, without editing any others. This is ideal for those wanting to customise a single product page, or a category, rather than having to hack up the original source files

Demo URL's can be seen here

Overridden Template example: http://demo.jaygilford.com/en/p/41/imac/

Apologies, I've moved server and haven't had a chance to update my demo store and links with the new ones. I'll get this done in the next 24 hours

I'm having a problem with the stylesheet override. In the documentation it says to upload the corresponding css file to the directory

Code: Select all

catalog/view/theme/default/stylesheet/product/
however, I could only find this directory in the extension module

Code: Select all

catalog/view/theme/default/stylesheet/override/product/
I've tried the file "50.css" with both of those directories but still can't get the css to override.
The product id is 50, I am able to change the layout successfully using "50.tpl" but unfortunately not the CSS...

Hi, thanks now I could see the demo. But I still have questions before buying the module:

- I create a completely customized HTML page? For example, my product is a Bluray The Strangers, I would create a custom page on the theme of the film. Is this possible?

- This module is to set the start date and end date to be enabled for this page? or simply I enable and disable in the admin?

Cheers

Hi

There is no admin interface for this. You simply edit a new .tpl file for the specific product. You can completely change the whole page as you see fit. So for example the demo page, I copied the product.tpl file, made some changes and saved it in the correct location

Kind regards
Jay

Demo appears to be down again.

'The page you requested cannot be found!'

Any chance you can sort it so I can see what this looks like?

Thanks

Can we also change the headers of modules used in the store?

Well, each module on the storefront, like categories, has a header, color in the default theme is: Grey.

Can I give each of these module-headers their own color with your extension?

If you can select them individually with CSS, then yes you could use the css overrides to change their colors
