I try to restore a backup and didn't work.
After a long time loading opens a new window and ask me where to save a file called index.php
I open the index.php and it is empty!
My version is 1.5.1.3
I don't know if this is a bug or a problem of me.
I try to did this local with the last version of xampp (didn't work also with older version)

What steps did you follow to backup en what to restore?

Why did you want / need to restore?

For a start I went on my online store at system-> settings-> backup
And then in my xampp system->settings-> restore

I do this because I wanted to have exactly the same categories and products

After that I take a backup from xampp and restore it to see if working but I had the same problem as told to my first post

You need to do a clean install of the same version you use on your live-store on your Xampp.

Create a backup of your live-store using phpMyAdmin.
In Xampp you use phpMyAdmin to restore that .sql dump

Do you have a custom theme and custom modules?

You need to DROP /Empty the contents of your Xampp database before you can restore the backup of your Live-store.
