images under "/image/cache" folder set to 600 permission?

Hi,
I've set "/image" folder to permission 644, and all images under "/image/data" and "/image/cache" to 644, the images are displayed fine. But after some time, some images under "/image/cache" will be set to permission 600 automatically, then those images are hidden. I set must set them to permission 644 so that they can be displayed, and I have to do this again and again. Why? Is it a bug or I missed something? I'm using opencart 1.4.9.4 on Godaddy server.

should be 755

contact your host. image directory permissions should not be changed by the server. this is probably a security measuire godaddy has pout in place.

I have the same problem with opencart 2.3.0.X, all the new images uploaded for a new product, end up wit permission 600 and cannot be displayed. I have contacted my server provider and they say it has nothing to do with them....am i lost now between "it's not us"... can anybody assure me that its from the server and has nothing to do with opencart? Thank you so so much!
