I have been checking my Opencart site for cross-browser issues and have found one only in Internet Explorer.
When I type in my URL using the www. at the beginning it's fine, but when I type it in without the www. it shows the below message at the top of the page and everything looks messed up:

"Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/tmp/sessions/sess_d5ace3dc0920a2faf155d8276bb0315f, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in /content/HostingPlus/r/o/room31.co.uk/web/system/library/session.php on line 11Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at /content/HostingPlus/r/o/room31.co.uk/web/index.php:92) in /content/HostingPlus/r/o/room31.co.uk/web/system/library/session.php on line 11Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /content/HostingPlus/r/o/room31.co.uk/web/index.php:92) in /content/HostingPlus/r/o/room31.co.uk/web/system/library/session.php on line 11"

This happens in IE7 and IE8 as far as I have checked. If anyone can help on this then I would appreciate it, thanks

your session directory has gone missing. contact your host about this.

Thanks, but how does it work without problems in Firefox at the same time?
Cheers

I have no idea.

the first error message gives you the reason though:

"Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/tmp/sessions/sess_d5ace3dc0920a2faf155d8276bb0315f, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2)

I hate to ask, but did this ever get resolved? I'm going through something insanely frustrating and similar to this.

this problem has nothing to do with opencart. the session directory is setup by your host. if you can not write to it its a permissions issue that your host needs to fix. other problems maybe that the hard drive is full.
