ok found I think another major issue and its a starnge one. When in the new admin order page, and adding a product, the system addes the tax to the product total instead of just adding the product price and then adding the tax to the full total, does anyone else think this is strange??

Odd mail behaviour with "Contact us" form.
I'm using SMTP in my mail configuration.
When configured with the correct SMTP password, mails from the form "contact us" are never delivered (Page says success). When changing the SMTP password (Now not correct), mails form the "contact us" page ARE being delivered?
Mails informing of received orders work regardless.
Also the description of the mail protocol parameter in the back end is very strange:
"Only choose 'Mail' unless your host has disabled the php mail function."
What's that supposed to mean? Maybe: "Only choose 'Mail' if you host has enabled the php mail function"?

My OpenCart store selling scandinavian mid century stuff to Japan:

Deleting an order does not put the products back in the inventory.
This is what I'm experiencing:
1. Costumer places an order (Money transfer)
2. Shop gets tired of waiting for the money and deletes the order.
3. Product from deleted order are not put back in inventory.
I guess it's debatable if it's a bug or not, but I think that most users would expect the products from a deleted order would be put back in the inventory (Unless the order was shipped). Are product put back in the inventory if I deny the order prior to deleting it?

I installed a fresh 149 and I made all those bug changes and I have a new bug for you.
When a customer places an order the order doesn't show up in their history and it doesn't even show up on the server but I get the PayPal email saying their sent their money and everything. I checked the Error Logs and nothing is in there either. I would like some help with this as soon as possible because I have a bunch of orders coming in (turned the store off for the moment) and no order histories showing.

If an admin edits a customers information and that customer later places an order, the order goes through, but it does not get saved on the server. This means that the stock doesn't go down, the customer order history is non-existent, and the admin order history is also non-existent.

You are using authorization mode I assume. Use sale mode and there is no problem. Authorization mode fixed in 1.4.9.1

2. Go to Create account, or edit customer info page

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

Using 1.4.9,
I have noticed the following error log in the last couple of days, but i'm not sure what was supposed to have been sent !
There could also be the same sort of error on /catalog/controller/payment/pp_standard.php on line 454 .... !?!??
Has anyone else seen this?
Does 1.4.9.1 address/correct this ?
