Using PayPal Advanced, orders being set to cancelled when customer Pays with credit card via PayPal. Does not seem to occur if payment via a debet card, or bank account. It also appears that this only occurs on a specific product (book).

What version of OpenCart are you using? I can't see a PayPal Advance payment module in version 1.5.x.
