Hi, I am a local business owner and have an ecommerce website for online grocery deliveries. My website (http://ikkibana.com) has a responsive design which I believe will make it accessible through mobile devices.

The company which helped me develop my ecommerce website (https://www.globalmediainsihgt.com) have recommended to develop a mobile app for the same.

I just want to know, whether there is any added advantage or possibilities which I can explore if I am to build an app that serves my customers.
With my limited thinking, I assume that having a website and app for the same purpose wont do any good, right?
How should I go about this. Is there any added advantage for a mobile app over responsive ecommerce website?

Before getting an App, wait until your site grows. You can use the responsive design for a while. Apps have more advantages (get user location, contacts, etc.) over a website, but I cannot tell you to get it now.

Native Mobile app helps with
1) Loyalty purchase as once the app is downloaded in the user device, they will not download another app for the same products.
2) Push Notifications are the biggest advantage of having a mobile app. You can reach to the customer with highly customized offers and have greater CTR.
3) Once the user is logged in app they do not have to login again. So wishlist and reorder become very easy and fast.
