I had the same problem, but i found it.
you need to edit template\product\category.tpl

at line 133

Code: Select all

	html += '<div class="price">' + price  + '</div>';
to

Code: Select all

	html += '<div class="price">Starting at: ' + price  + '</div>';
and
line 171

Code: Select all

	html += '<div class="price">' + price  + '</div>';
to

Code: Select all

	html += '<div class="price">Starting at: ' + price  + '</div>';

This is a simple mod that simply grabs and uses the lowest option price for the products when the main price is 0.00
Do you think you could develop a mod for me that does this with up to 3 prices?

Thank you,
Sully :)

I've added a similar feature now to my Default Product Options now. You can set it to show the default option as the price on non-product pages like category, modules, search, etc. It also offers the option to default these for the add to cart button on these pages so you don't even need to visit the product page.

Hi Qphoria,

I've just purchased your options boost redux and currently it works great in conjunction with this price by options mod. Is it possible get a custom version which sets the price to the minimum option value automatically, without having to set the base price to zero?

The problem being I have a number of mods which rely on the base price, they now show a price of 0.00 in use.

I've also noticed your recent post on the 'default product options' mod, I am happy to purchase this if it provides that functionality.

Thanks

Don't do this as this will add the "Starting at" text to EVERY product.

Q, any chance you could provide information on how to include the "Starting at" text for options in category.tpl (also the same mod can be copied over to manufacturer_info.tpl, search.tpl and special.tpl)?

This mod is just what i'm looking for...

but i'm having real problems getting this to work in v1.5.6.4... and the http://themeforest.net/item/megastore-r ... me/2835928 theme.....

I've even got to the point of hardcoding into the relevant pages and it works for the modules but not for the product page

I've now removed all other vqmods and just have this in the price_by_options_153x.xml

can anyone offer any ideas?? thanks!

I have read here that there is a way to correct the option pricing to reflect the actual price of the option rather than the change from the base price.
presently the option looks like this:
4 oz. (-13.50)
8 oz. (-9.00)
16 oz. (-0.00)

I need it to look like this:
4 oz. ($4.50)
8 oz. ($9.00)
16 oz. ($18.00)
Where the product price is $18.00

I have red that there are a few lines of code that can be replaced to fix this but it was for ver. 1.5X
I am using ver. 2.0.3.1 is there a similar fix?

This mod solved my clients issues 2 years ago (or around that time) when I first started using it, however I now need a mod.

I am willing to pay, if you can give me a price.

Basically, I need all options to display the VAT and non VAT prices (Non VAT as primary and VAT total in brackets or something like that)

I have seen many mods that do this on standard products, but since all of my customers products are priced by options, I need it for that.

Can you help at all?

Hi,

I know you mod is quite old now but I have just installed it and it works well...but I notice that it does not work with Specials.

Do you have an option (purchase) to handle specials?
