Does anybody know how I can do this without vQmod? I have tried installing vQmod previously but I have already made changes to my core files and therefore I got numerous errors, so I don't want to install it again.

Sure. Just look at the vqmod.

It will say file name="x" that's the file or files you need to modify

then look at the search and find the line the vqmod is looking for in the file x

Then look at the line after </search> and see what code it is adding/replacing whatever and do the same thing manually in file x.

Lather, rinse, repeat for any other changes in the vqmod.

This mod has an error in it which prevent certain browser from going to step 6. On line 39, there is a

Code: Select all

</div>
tag that has no opening. Delete it and it should work fine. Also, the files referenced in this mod has been renamed in the latest version of Opencart so change those as well if you want it to work with 1.2.X

Otherwise a great little mod and thanks to whomever wrote it.

hi, i am using opencart 1.5.1.3 and have installed this mod, it was just what i needed, thank you. there is just one small thing i'm not happy with, the message displayed in the cart is the nice little bar

but at the checkout it's an ugly standard popup message box

can anyone help me to replace the ugly box with the nice green standard opencart one please?

Hi,

Thanks for the module. I have tested it with OpenCart version 1.5.2.1 and it works fine. I was also after the same sort of module for Voucher but could not find one for my version. I ended up trying the one here (http://mjcproxy.mjchiasson.com/forum.op ... 58543277b5) which was developed from the coupon module available from JNeuhoff. However the final part of the code which validate the voucher against the database and display a message was missing. I updated it it based on the code from the coupon but my skill in coding are low and so I could not manage to make it work. It would be appreciated if someone could have a look at it and hopefully could fix it. FYI there is no error displayed in the VQMOD manager.

Thanks

Hi, I added a bit of code and now you get coupon + voucher in checkout with one vqmod. It seems to work fine for me in 1.5.3.1.

Coupon + Voucher

I am trying to set coupon feature in version 1.5.1.3 .... after applying coupon code I am getting the message "Your discount coupon has been successfuly applied to your order. You will see it in the next checkout step".... But I don't see any change in amount....No amount is deducted when I select "Terms and Conditions checkbox" in Step-6 and click the "Continue" button. I am using "Paypal Standard" ... using default theme.

Maybe just check in Admin, under extension, order totals that you have enable gift Voucher. The sort order is also important so the voucher get placed a the desired position.
Hope it helps

hi indigo,
could you teach me step by step how to install that in 1.5.3.1?

Thanks!! : )
indigo wrote:Hi great mod .. thanks .. it's working well for me on 1.5.3.1

I just want to make a slight adjustment to the code so when I go through the checkout, I'm shown the actual coupon name ... currently it shows just the coupon code ...

so rather than show the code e.g coupon(1111) in the totals area,
it will show the coupon name e.g coupon (15% off plus free gift)

Many thanks :)

It might be considerate if someone would post a link to this application.

If it doesn't presently validate the voucher code against database, then why on Earth would you post the link to this application?

Is there one of these available for 1.5.3.1 yet? I've given the xml file a go but it doesn't work on the latest version which I am on.

Thanks
