When you use the Backend with several users, you might want to keep track of which user makes which changes to the history of an order.
This vQmod stores automatically the user that creates a history entry and displays that information in the history list.

You will need to add a field user_id to the table order_history...

Code: Select all

ALTER TABLE  `order_history` ADD  `user_id` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL ;

I received this error when clicking the edit link on an order:

Error: Unknown column 'oh.user_id' in 'on clause'
Error No: 1054
SELECT oh.date_added, os.name AS status, oh.comment, oh.notify, user.username FROM order_history oh LEFT JOIN order_status os ON oh.order_status_id = os.order_status_id LEFT JOIN user ON (oh.user_id=user.user_id) WHERE oh.order_id = '9' AND os.language_id = '1' ORDER BY oh.date_added

Sounds like a great mod though, any idea on what's wrong?

Would also be great if the time of edit was displayed next to the date (not sure if this does already I can't get it to work ^-^ )

Error: Unknown column 'oh.user_id' in 'on clause'
refers to the problem that the table order_history does not have a field user_id.
Did you add this to the table like described above?

No, I didn't, sorry. Can't believe I missed that! :o

Got it working fine now.

I did make a small change to the xml file so that it reads 'Username' instead of 'column_username' in the admin order history screen.

Changed this:

Code: Select all

			<add>
				<![CDATA[
				$this->data['column_username'] = $this->language->get('column_username');
				]]>
			</add>
To this:

Code: Select all

			<add>
				<![CDATA[
				$this->data['column_username'] = $this->language->get('Username');
				]]>
			</add>
So it now looks like:
vQmod Username.jpg

I'm glad you like it. Yeah right, I forgot about my customized language pack, which contains column_username.

I you mean sending email by "notify", you should take a look on how the customer gets notified.
I merged my vQmods into the code, and now my OpenCart is very very different from the orginal one, so i cant point you to a specific point in code.
But I kind of remember that emails are sent in the models.

Will this work for 1.5.4.1?

This is exactly what I'm looking for.

Thanks!

ThanksiPaq for the suggestion but I don't see what's the difference between posting it here and PM'ing him. Thanks for your concern though. If you didn't have an answer it's probably a waste to post on the thread.....

anyways...

If anyone is wondering about a mod like this I purchased one that works. It's here:

http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=4913

The developer is very nice and most of all it just works!

He has not been on these forums since 2 November, a PM sends him an email so he knows that there is need for help.
Posting here is probably not noticed by him.

Um, he's not the only one reading the forum. In fact, my public post is what got me in touch with the developer who provided me with a solution.

:( I tried to be clever and convert this to v2.0.3.1 but greatly failed :'(

Total e-commerce newbie bravely testing OC v2.0.3.1 before rolling it live...getting there slowly, somehow. Maybe not. I dunno.
