Good morning.
I am planning a new website with e-shop with Joomla 2.5.
Is there a quide how to install opencart.
Just use OpenCart without Joomla. Problem solved
I don't get why some users are paying for AceShop & only using the website as a store when OpenCart is free.

Because you can do so much more with Joomla. When you only want to have a shop, you are right, you only need OpenCart. But when you want a website with more information, articles, events, routeplanner to the shop, banners with your own text, comments, a forum etc etc...then you need Joomla. Also SEO is much easier.
An extension for Joomla like Aceshop combines the best CMS with the best Shopping Cart.
When you buy AceShop there will be a manual availible. In short, you install AceShop as a normal Joomla extension. After install you have a component and that will show OpenCart. The rest is working like a normal OpenCart installation.

As a developer, I dislike how AceShop made some silly changes that requires us to make changes for our extension to match their AceShop. And AceShop's version of OpenCart is outdated. They need to update soon enough.
Not true. Their version of OpenCart is quite outdated.miteshaegis wrote:Joomla are best cms to shopping cart. joomla support opencart.
