Fantastic, maybe I need to follow this route again - more carefully.

General question about the Wordpress blog in a /blog directory installation.
I have my site at the top level www.gomidesigns.co.uk
and a blog at www.gomidesigns.co.uk/blog

However when I try to use the RSS feed link (provided by 2011 theme) it gives an error.
In my yahoo feed reader - "There were some problems while loading your page:
Sorry, we were unable to add this feed. Please try again later."

if i try to add the rss widget in the dashboard -
"RSS Error: A feed could not be found at http://www.gomidesigns.co.uk/blog?feed=rss2. A feed with an invalid mime type may fall victim to this error, or SimplePie was unable to auto-discover it.. Use force_feed() if you are certain this URL is a real feed."

Is this being caused by opencart??

Has anyone had any luck with a simple solution to this as opposed to having an experienced programmer put it together?

I've been thinking about getting a blog extension that is listed in the Opencart extensions but if it is possible to integrate Wordpress for free then it would help us out a lot.

Does anyone have a blog extension currently that does as good a job as Wordpress?

Just thought I'd pick at brains!

Thanks,
Tom

I was working on this to get a simple solution. However I got stuck and I'm currently working on something else if I get a solution which isn't "get a programmer to do it" ill be sure to post it here

I am currently trying to do the same thing. Is there anyone here that has achieved this that would be prepared to do the same thing for me. I have OC in the root and WP in a sub folder. I would like to match the header/footer of OC to the WP install. If someone could help that would be great! I would be happy to pay to have it done properly.

If you need this doing, then I'd suggest paying these developers to implement as it can be tricky! We encountered some issues after it was installed where plugins were not installing and so forth. The technicality involved for full implementation really needs an experienced developer unfortunately. Unless someone makes an extension for this as that would be nice!

Having had a go at this myself I'm coming to realise that may the best solution... :o
I know OpenCart pretty well, but not Wordpress well enough...
