RELEASED

Mailchimp Opencart v1.3.4 Module

ABOUT

Creates a side bar box that allows visitors to join your Mailchimp list without leaving your site, creating an account or refreshing a page.

REQUIREMENTS

Mailchimp account

Opencart v1.3.4 (May work with 1.3.2 but haven't tested)

any love for us 1.3.2 users?

when i install the module and click edit, i reach a blank page.

and then if i try to access the site i get:

Error: Could not load template /catalog/view/theme/default/template//template/module/mailchimp.tpl!

Sorry Yegga, I'm not supporting v1.3.2 anymore.

It's too much trouble supporting three versions so basically it will be v1.3.4 and v1.4.

When i instal the 1.4 edition in 1.4 OC and try to edit the module trough the backend is gives an error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function https() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/modaitalia.nl/httpdocs/admin/controller/module/mailchimp.php on line 55

Any idea?

The https function doesn't exist any more.
I don't have the Mailchimp module, so I don't know the specific url it tries to call.

But it used to be urls like

$this->url->https('extension/module')

which you now have to replace with

Code: Select all

HTTPS_SERVER . 'index.php?route=extension/module'

Find the line of code and change it like I showed you, or wait for the developer to release an updated version.

I fixed that but then it gives me errors on these

Does anyone have problems with this module in Internet Explorer?

When i try to send a email adress on the site of a client, it stays sending (you see the rotating flash).

but, the email address is not send. Also, i don't recieve any Success (green message) also, no failed message...

Any idea?

In firefox it works fine.

(version for 1.4.0)

It's an error with the mailchimp product that according to them is due to incorrectly configured Internet access.

Have a look at their site for possible fixes. You'll find the problem under "can't access the mailchimp site" which is the main underlying issue.

ok

i have noticed a strange thing.

When you surf to the website, and try to register your email, it does not work. It keeps loading.

but, when you click on site elsewhere, for example on logo, then retry to submit, it works !

what in the hell is this...

problem fixed

needed to redirect domain name

from www.domain.com to domain.com (without www.)

now it works.

very strange...
