This Mod adds Manufacturer filter in header search, allowing to perform a search by Category and Manufacturer.

It also "removes" advanced search additional checkbox in the header searchbox, performing every search considering also models and descriptions automatically.
It is simple but useful, granting a one step search avoiding additional pages and delays.
Search results page has been also "cleaned" removing "advanced" unnecessary additional form.

It works at the moment with default theme and english or italian language but it can be really easily be adapted to any template or language. Ask me for any support on this, I will give you simple instructions.

Found your extension in the recently added, this is exactly what i have been looking for.

I tried the demo, but it can't seem to get any search results by just selecting a category and a manuf.

Do i have to add a keyword to get a result?

I am really looking to buy this mod and adjust it to my template.

Hope everything i have said makes sense, please don't think i'm not grateful for the work put into this, i am very grateful.

Yes, actually at the moment you need to insert a keyword to make the search effective.
Anyway, I understand your request and I think it can be a good improvement. I will study it and implement it in next version. I will let you know soon.

Thanks for getting back to me, please don't think I was picking holes with your mod, I think it's quite awesome to be blunt. I was only asking as a client had requested so I thought I'd ask. I hope you are able to implement this soon as I'd be willing to pay a very fair price for this feature.

As I was mentioning... I already realized it in v2 release. You can already test it, please let me know if I catched the point.
