Extension: Product Option Discount

This extension is useful when you want to apply quantity discount on individual product option. This can be used together with existing product quantity discount as well.

* UPDATE * Product Option Discount has been updated to latest v1.4

New Features:

• Support latest OpenCart v1.5.6
• Add to Cart button for individual option value
• Option Special price
• New additional price prefixes (=, +%, -%)
• Option Discount prices can be based on option price or product price

Selected option price will be displayed and calculated based on product quantity. All option discount pricing can be easily managed from admin back-end product edit page. It works similar to the existing product quantity discount, but for product option. In addition, you can also control how the option value price are calculated towards the product: You can either choose flat rate disregard the quantity, or based on quantity just like the current default calculation. I'm using a licensed copy for 1.5 and unfortunately the demo/demo login isn't working for the admin side. I would like to look at how some things are configured in your sample.

I would like to thank Hydrowire, for his useful extensions and his great support. He customized this extension together with “Global quantity dropdown list” and “option price update Redux” in a short time and with a small fee. Combining these three extensions saved me great time and gave me possibility to set up my Printing Company web site (http://www.megacopy.be).
I would recommend his extensions to everyone and again without his help I would had lost lots of time and money to develop my site. His extensions are a must for most of us using open cart software.

I've downloaded the most recent version and I cannot get this module to work. Whatever alterations I make as recommended by your help sheet don't seem to make an impact . Is there something I might be missing?

I am having trouble making shoppica2 work with this vq mod. As instructed I was able to resolve the php line errors by changing the "*" to the theme name shoppica2 in the code below found in the module's vq xml: myoc_pod.xml

<file name="catalog/view/theme/*/template/product/product.tpl">

Then replacing
<div id="content">

To shoppica2's string which is
<div id="content" class="s_wrap">

where-ever catalog/view/theme/shoppica2/template/product/product.tpl was referenced. I have the admin backend working however the front-end is not functional as I am not sure which strings I need to edit to make this happen...

If someone could help with this I'd be most appreciative otherwise I've just burned $10

Additionally I'm looking to purchase the following mod:

However I don't want to touch it until I'm sure it will work with shoppica2, as it is significantly pricy considering its functionality.

Could you kindly explain me how to set in Open Cart next one: when purchasing ANY 2 products from one category (e.g. mp3-players) together on the same bill and of any kind, the system will apply 10% off when checking out. When purchasing ANY 3 or MORE products (4,5,6,7....)of any kind from one category (e.g. mp3-players), it will do 15% off.

Unfortunately Product Option Discount is not able to perform any percentage discount based on categories. This is not a product discount or category discount module, but is an option discount module. Which means this module allows you to setup discount for your product options only(which cannot be done in a default OpenCart store).

I was wondering if this works with the import/export mod?

I have a huge sheet of products with options and really need this to work with import/export. If it doesn't are there any other options for managing percentage based discounts per product per group?

No. Import/Export mod does not work with Product Option Discount extension.

yeah i've search extensively through here. Which is how I came across your mod. It looks like it would work great, but with no import/export function it seems pretty useless on larger sites.

Do you have plans to add any import/export functionality in the future? A simple csv routine would add so much value to your component. The man hours it would require to moderate several hundred products and options is insane especially when you could simply do it with a csv sheet in a hour or two.

I just bought and installed this mod (latest opencart 1.5.6.4)

All looks good

BUT on a produt option if i have this set to ZERO £0.00

It shows on the product page as £2.00 which i presume ots adding 20% vat to my £0 product

This should be £0 and not £2

?
