This module provides a scrolling marquee for your website.

Allows you to have multiple marquee entries with full multi-language support. Text scrolls vertically, either up or down, then slides to the left.

Fully configurable administration interface allowing you to set whether to scroll up or down, set the timing for vertical scrolling and horizontal sliding, as well as setting the pause time before sliding left.

Full installation instructions included.

Demo can be found at: http://demo.fido-x.net/.

Get it from: OpenCart Extensions or Fido-X IT

Always include a link if you are having a store front issue!

I only got your files yesterday (localtime), the same day you sent them (according to the date stamp), so give me a chance to have a look at them.

Did you copy the marquee's stylesheet into your new template's stylesheet folder?

Any joy with this?

As a re-cap I copied marquee.css into /catalog/view/theme/cleaner-2-col-left-1491/stylesheet/

Also copied marquee.tpl into /catalog/view/theme/cleaner-2-col-left-1491/template/module/

I believe they're the only theme specific files.

Can the text Fixo-x scrolling marquee be changed?

Really could do with getting this working.

Thanks.

I'm using it myself and you can change the text from your Admin -> Extensions -> Scrolling Marquee

In the header template file you sent me, you have the jquery.marquee script and the stylesheet linked in as the first items inside the <head> tag. Perhaps you should move them to after the call to the jquery script itself.

Oh, and if you could provide a link?

Thanks for that, text now scrolling, but I can find an option anywhere to change Fixo-x scrolling marquee. Is this on a template somewhere as I just cant find it. I've highlighted it on the attached screenshot. I really want to change it to something else.

Wrong language file. Try "catalog/language/english/module/marquee.php".

Thanks Fido, sorted :)

Is there anyway of getting rid of the text on the left tide and extending the text box across the left side?

In the template file (catalog/view/theme/default/template/module/marquee.tpl), delete line 5:

Code: Select all

<th><?php echo $text_marquee; ?></th>
Make the same change in "catalog/view/theme/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template/module/marquee.tpl" (if you copied it to your custom template's folder).

This module provides a scrolling marquee for your website.
definitely needs this feature specially for ORDER NOW [needs to be set up] page for my inflatable marquee project.
I don't know whether you guys allow me to use open cart feature of my friend's web.
OR else I have to use purchase exclusive rights.
Anyways! I have not found instructions on the that demo link. else other links are working.
Have your say on it. I am listening.

Uhmmm, it's just a demo of the module that was specifically built for OpenCart. It is, therefore, not compatible with other platforms. You can (if you wish) buy it and modify it to suit your needs - it is open source and, while it has a price tag, the GPL license allows you to modify it for your own needs.

If you wish to build your own from the ground up (as I did), you can get the original marquee script from here.
