Global Mega options for Opencart 1.4.9.1
For those of you that don't know, Global Mega Options is a customization that creates centralized options to be linked to your products instead of creating individual options for each product. Change once, change all, like a stylesheet for product options.

A few new features added
- Link options to products directly from global option page (save even more time)
- Checkbox options
- Required fields validation
- Max length for text input fields
- Price for text input fields
- Change image on click for select, radio and checkbox

More features coming soon
Multiple select options, date picker, hidden fields, dynamic options (based on URL or other request)

Hey all - I just put Global Mega Options on my site and it works really well. I was impressed with Readyman who was extremely helpful with my setup due to my inexperience in databases. It's well worth it! Also note that this mod allows the customer to enter info into a textbox as part of the product options. I know this was addressed as a concern in many other posts here since people need it for (example) a name to be engraved on a trophy, or (in my case) the company name to be printed on a shirt front. This is a really great mod!!! Tag: textbox product option text box

Hey,

i have some trouble installing this extension.
ive set up a new store, uploaded and installed GMO.
but now if i try to open a product i get the following message:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to undefined method ModelCatalogProduct::getProductTemplate() in /.../html/oc/catalog/controller/common/column_right.php on line 27
if i delete

Code: Select all

$this->load->model( 'catalog/product' );
if( $p_tpl = $this->model_catalog_product->getProductTemplate( $pid ) ) {
$p_tpl = str_replace( 'product_', '', $p_tpl );
}
this, it shows the same error in column_left.php, then in header.php, footer.php and so on...
if i deleted this in every file, than it shows the product, but this couldnt meant to be that i have to edit these files?!

any hint for solving this?

Guys, you can contact me directly on www.alreadymade.com for a much faster response. I think you might be using the wrong version or some files haven't been uploaded yet.

as i told you, i am using osworx fork "OCIE 1.2.4" based on OpenCart v.1.4.9.1 http://osworx.net
ive uploaded your plugin for v1.4.9.1 and checked twice if i forgot some files.
another issue ive found is that the AJAX add-to-cart is no longer working, it takes me directly to the cart if i add a product.

If you're using a forked version, then you'll need to contact me directly so that I can actually see your installation directly & debug it. I haven't used that version, so I have no "general" answer to give you here.

This forked version adds some extra functions to the model files and my mod will overwrite these again back to the default opencart model files.

If you are using OCIE forked version, or any other forked version, then you'll need to also purchase installation so that I can install this for you and compare your files, only adding the modifications that are required.
OCIE is not opencart, it is based on opencart, so please do not expect my mod which was built for opencart 1.4.9.1 to simply drop into any third party customization.

It's made for developers to add their own stuff... you're the admin so you can enable any of those file extensions that I've listed there in the controller.
Just uncomment the line corresponding to the file extension you want, from music files, graphic files, video files etc and then they'll appear in the admin section, in the customer upload module page, so there's double control over allowing file extensions.
I did it this way to allow an admin to give their client access to control filetypes from their administration.

I've been using Global mega options and it's a real time saver! The only thing i can't get to work is the option image?.
When i choose the Radio options and i choose different images voor the attributes i don't see the image on the product page? I thought that this module could do this. I saw this working on another site. (see attachment)

Yep, it should work. If not, shoot me an email and I'll be able to help you out. Unless you are getting an error or known issue, then I can't really help you out from here.

works fine on my site indeed, only thing is that upon having chosen a radio button and the image change, other images cannot be enlarged anymore.
