will this Meta Bot "blocker" hinder your site from showing on Search Engine or affect your ranking or in any way?

Hi mrjave,

By default, your website allows Search Engine to indexing every page. But sometimes, you don't want some certain pages to be indexed.

This extension makes it possible to:

• Prevent indexing of the search result pages, while still allowing the search engines to follow the links on those pages, by adding noindex,follow robots meta tags.
  Prevent indexing of the login, register and admin pages by adding noindex robots meta tags.
  Nofollow outbound links on your frontpage.
  Nofollow tag links.

You should enable this module on the pages are needed only.

what is with the content layout choice?
that that means i have do have 4 module within your module (each for content top/bottom/left/right) for every page?
or?

please advice.

Layout is import. The meta tags will only added to the pages for the layout you selected.
You don't need to specify the position for this module.

for example, you don't want google index the product search result page, but all google flow all links in search result page.
1. Create a new layout for search result page in "System->Design->Layouts"
2. Edit Meta Bot Control module, add a module with the follow settings.

• Robot: Google Bot
  Index: No
  Follow: Yes
  Archive: Default
  Images Index: Default
  Layout: select the new layout you just created in step 1
  Position: Any position
  Status: Enable

If you want to have different setting for individual search engine in a same layout, you need to add 1 module for each search engine.
for example, you have the setting above already. Now you want Yahoo index and follow, but not to keep an archived of the product search page. Here are the settings.
1. Edit Meta Bot Control module
2. add an additional module with the follow settings

• Robot: Yahoo Bot
  Index: Yes
  Follow: Yes
  Archive: No
  Images Index: Default
  Layout: select the same layout as the first module
  Position: Any position
  Status: Enable

This mod hasn't been tested with OpenCart v1.4.9.5.
I will test it tomorrow if I have the environment setup properly.
